The real life super heroes accomplish extraordinary acts while distinguishing themselves from the ordinary world by their dress and behaviour. To mark this difference and highlight their singularity, Pierre-Elie de Pibrac immortalizes each one of his super heroes in a photographic medium that reflects their own universe. The photos are embedded in different materials that are emblematic of the real life cities where they operate: concrete, wood, bricks, rusty objects, zinc, etc.
Each photo sculpture made in this way is then showcased in a wooden shipping crate, as if the RLSH had been removed from their world and exported to us like relics. In this way, a symbolic link is created between the human being and the material, a sort of incarnation that makes the support media consubstantial with the artistic subject, as if immortalized.
